Commander Pamela A. Tellado brings her extensive and prestigious Navy experiences to the Indigo table. Raised in Hanover, Michigan, Tellado graduated from the US Naval Academy in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Oceanography. She also acquired a Master’s Degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in Meteorology and Oceanography.
Commander Tellado’s impressive Naval career includes deployments to the Mediterranean for NATO, the Arabian Sea, the Northern Atlantic, and the Arabian gulf. On home soil, Commander Tellado has served as a Division Officer and Command Duty Officer for the Naval Maritime Forecast Center and Joint Typhoon Warning Center. She recently taught as a senior instructor at the US Naval Academy. Currently, Commander Tellado serves as the Staff Oceanographer for Commander, Submarine Forces Pacific at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Her personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (with Gold Star), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, among others.
