What are Indigo Family Workshops?
Indigo Education Company is a personal strengths company that has partnered with your school to bring you and your student an Indigo Family Workshop. Indigo uses a strengths, personality and motivations inventory called the Indigo Survey to help students find a college and career path that they love and that matches who they are. They currently use the survey in high schools and universities around the country to help students and their family members better understand one another through their strengths and motivations and now they are bringing it to the your school community!
The school has committed to purchasing Indigo for students as part of their educational experience. Indigo is offering family members the opportunity to purchase the Indigo Survey and come to an Indigo Family Workshop to go over your own results and your students’ results, side by side. These workshops are all about creating an intentional time where families and students can learn more about their differences, and how family members can help their kids succeed based on who they are. It is an opportunity to achieve massive breakthroughs in students’ family relationships.
What Happens at Our Family Events
Communication
You communicate one way, your student communicates in another. Neither are wrong, but they can both go wrong if you don’t understand the differences. Learn about the best ways to communicate with them based on who they are and, more importantly, learn about the ways not to communicate with them.
College & Career
We all want our students to succeed – for many, that looks like pursuing college. But what type of college and major makes the most sense based on your child’s motivations and behaviors? Learn how to have meaningful conversations that can help your student narrow down what they are really looking for in a major.
Deeper Understanding
Discretely understanding the differences between you and another person helps increase appreciation of strengths, empathy for weaknesses, and gives the right tools for healthier ways to deal with conflict. Lay the foundation of this understanding with your child so that in all areas of life, you can enjoy a rewarding relationship.

The most powerful and effective way to understand and connect with your student is to take it yourself.
You have the option to purchase a survey. The school is covering the investment through the school for students, so you only need to purchase links for yourselves.
The Indigo Me Inventory covers access to the light version of the Indigo, made just for family members. Upon completion, you will receive a comprehensive report individualized to you based on your Personality and Motivations. Most importantly, the insights from your results can give you ideas and strategies on building stronger relationships with your family.

Print out and bring your report, your partner’s report, and your student’s report. Come together with your partner and student to the workshop!
